Over 125 staff members gathered on October 22, 2014 at the Muskoka Education Centre to hear George Couros speak about innovative student learning and engagement tactics. This workshop focused on how to create optimal learning environments for innovation in schools.
Couros, a TEDx event speaker hailing from Stoney Plain, Alberta, is the division Principal of Innovative Teaching and Learning for Parkland School Division. His mix of research, personal experience, and practicality helps others feel comfortable in taking risks in their own learning. Couros has worked from K-12 as a teacher, technology facilitator, and school based administrator. He also co-facilitates Great Leaders, Great Teams, Great Results leadership training and is a leader on the effective use of social media to improve social learning.
