Students earn Kenyan Boys Choir performance

After a year of organizing school dances, hot dog days, spirit fundraisers, and collecting pennies, Rolling Hills Public School donated $7,000 to Me to We to help build the Baraka Health Clinic in Kenya.

To celebrate this meaningful action, Me to We arranged for the Kenyan Boys Choir to perform at Rolling Hills PS on September 30, 2013. The Kenyan Boys Choir is a Traditional African Male Choir comprised of youth from high schools, colleges, and universities in Kenya, and has been a part of We Day celebrations since 2011. Students welcomed the Kenyan Boys Choir with a roar of support and sang and danced with the choir during their performance – they especially enjoyed the Choir’s cover of Bob Marley’s One Love.

The Making a Difference (MAD) Crew who spearhead fundraising events throughout the school year are guaranteeing they will raise $10,000 for Me to We this year! To date, Rolling Hills PS has donated $125,000 to Me to We/Free the Children.
