Puzzle Peace

The value of teaching and modelling good character is a focus in our schools. In Trillium Lakelands District School Board (TLDSB) we promote, encourage, celebrate, and teach specific character attributes to our students and school communities.

I am Because of You

Launched in the 2014-2015 school year, the “I am because of you” campaign is designed to help all members of our school communities and beyond think deeply about those who have made a significant difference in their lives – by modelling good character and demonstrating active citizenship in their own homes and in the community.

Puzzle Peace

Peace transcends grade levels, differing levels of ability, gender, race, religion and sexual orientation. Peace speaks to equity, anti-bullying, harmony, inclusion and character. We are all pieces of the peace puzzle. The students and staff  are challenged everyday to think about all that is required from them to help create peaceful and supportive environments at home, at school, in their communities, on earth, and with the physical environment. We know that peace will be achieved through education about equity, inclusion, character, and the protection of the environment.

Our Puzzle Peace website aims to “connect the dots” for students, staff, families, and community members using all of our initiatives on a continual basis to assist in the development of creating positive school climates and positive learning communities for all.
