On September 12, Huntsville Public School (HPS) was filled with laughter and cheers at the official opening of a new fully accessible playground. The new Play for All playground includes a rubberized surface, swings, monkey bars, and slides, with many interactive components for children of all ages to enjoy.
The project was made possible because of everyone in the community. Not only did the school come together to raise funds, but local businesses, students and families, school council, the Rotary Club of Huntsville, and private donations raised approximately $350,000 – half of which was matched by Trillium Lakelands District School Board.
Play for All is a great example of what can happen when a school community believes in something and works together!
