Sora

Sora is a digital library for everyone – students, parents and staff – who want to read or listen! With over 1,000 different book titles, in a variety of formats, including best-selling authors, new release titles, the classics, Sora has it all. Visit Sora’s website to log in now.

The Sora app is available for iOS, Android, Chromebook, Mac OS, Windows, and Windows Phone.

Students

You can borrow and enjoy free eBooks, audiobooks, and more from your school’s digital collection. All you need to get started is an internet connection, and your TLDSB Google username (email) and password.

To login from a browser on your computer:

Go to https://soraapp.com
Click on Find my school
Click on Trillium Lakelands District School Board
Select Trillium Lakelands District School Board from drop-down menu
Click on the green button that says Sign in using Trillium Lakelands District School Board
When prompted, login using your TLDSB Google login (same username/password that you use to access Google Drive, Google Classroom, …)
Once you are logged in, select a book to read or listen by selecting the book and clicking on ‘Borrow’.
The book will appear in ‘Checkouts’ and you will be prompted to download the book.
Once downloaded, may click on the book to read or listen.
You man also read or listen to a book within your browser.

From the Sora app on a smartphone, iPad, or android tablets (including KOBO and KINDLE)

Select ‘Choose a Library’ and pick ‘Trillium Lakelands District School Board’
Once you are logged in, select a book to read or listen by selecting the book and clicking on ‘Borrow’. If you’re not sure, you can read or listen to a sample.
The book will appear in your checkouts and you will be prompted to ‘Add to App.’
Once you have downloaded the book, it will appear in your ‘Bookshelf.’

Staff

Parents

Trillium Lakelands District School Board’s Sora library is now available to parents! With OverDrive, you can borrow and enjoy over 2,500 free eBooks, audiobooks, and more from your child’s school digital collection. Once you are registered you will be provided with the information that you will need to login into your OverDrive account.

Parents can request an account by:

- This email address will be used when creating your account.
Our Technology Services team will receive the request and will create your account as soon as possible. Please allow up to five business days for processing.
Parents will then be sent an email with OverDrive login account information once ready.
