On May 4, Dr. George Hall Public School’s cheerleading team performed in their first big competition at the Red Carpet Cheerleading Event hosted by Cheer Evolution.
Held at Paramount Fine Food Centre in Mississauga, Red Carpet is an opportunity for athletes to show off their skills at the end of the cheerleading season.The event hosts all levels and age groups for specialty categories including all United States All Star Federation divisions, special needs, and Jr/Sr stunts.
The Dr. George Hall PS team competed in the Junior Novice School Division, competing against three other teams. With students from Grades 2 to 8 on the team, half of whom are in their first year of cheering, they are proud to have been awarded with an Outstanding Performance and fourth place standing.
Their winning routine consisted of stunts, tumbling, pyramid building, dance, and jump components. All of the team members and their families are proud of their accomplishments and all of the hard work the students put into the performance.
The team was impressed by the calibre of talent showcased by the other teams at Red Carpet inspiring them for their performance next year.
