Community Program Receives Funding to Support TLDSB Schools

On Friday, June 16th, Muskoka Parry Sound MPP Norm Miller attended Bracebridge Public School to recognize the success of YWCA Muskoka in securing an Ontario Trillium Foundation GROW Grant for the Girlz Unplugged program. The grant will enable YWCA Muskoka to provide Girlz Unplugged to girls at 17 elementary schools in Muskoka for the next three years.

MPP Norm Miller and Richard Corcelli, an Ontario Trillium Foundation volunteer presented the YWCA Muskoka with a plaque to mark the work done as a result of receiving a grant from the Foundation in early 2017. Superintendent of Learning from TLDSB, Andrea Gillespie, as well as Trustees Louise Clodd and Stephen Binstock were also in attendance to offer their congratulations and the share words on the impact of the program in TLDSB schools.
