LINDSAY, ON – Due to a vacancy, the Trillium Lakelands District School Board is seeking a qualified public school board trustee to represent the City of Kawartha Lakes wards 10, 12, and 16 for the remaining term of the Board which ends on November 30, 2018.
To be eligible, an applicant must be 18 years of age or older, a Canadian citizen, an eligible public school tax supporter and voter, residing in the jurisdictional area of the Trillium Lakelands District School Board.
Eligible candidates must not be disqualified by any legislation from holding public office. It is the responsibility of each candidate to determine whether he or she is qualified to be elected and hold the office of trustee. Candidates must be able to provide a recent criminal record check from their local police department.
Applications should include a personal resume, two letters of support, and a covering letter that highlights a sincere interest in public education, commitment to becoming familiar with the educational issues and policies of the Trillium Lakelands District School Board, and a willingness to commit to the time required to fulfill the role of trustee.
