TLDSB students were asked to create a poster with a community safety message for a chance to win a great experience with the local OPP. Students from various schools submitted their artwork, which was reviewed by a panel of school board trustees and OPP staff on March 16th. Judges sifter through over 400 entries before selecting the following winners:

1. Ashley Gr. 4, Dunsford District ES
2. Kloe, Gr. 4, Bobcaygeon PS
3. Madison, Gr. 5, St. Lukes CS
4. Brandon, Gr. 5, Dr. George Hall
5. Tara, Gr 5, Dr. George Hall

The top two winners received the opportunity to be ‘Inspector for a Day’ with the Kawartha Lakes OPP. Ashley’s winning entry was an anti-bullying poster, with focus on cyber-bullying. Kloe’s submission included a summer safety message, reminding boaters to wear a life jacket. Way to go!
