School History
KP Manson PS is a rural school located in Severn Bridge, a small community on the Muskoka side of the Severn River. It boasts a wonderfully treed playground with a large grassy field and several pieces of creative playground equipment. The school is named after Katey Manson a former principal of 20 years, 1959-1979.

General Information
Improvement of student numeracy and literacy remains a core focus of our system and becomes the guiding principle and the foundation for all supplementary priorities. Effective communications is the key to success and schools are a reflection of the community.

The school is a very important part of the Severn Bridge Fall Fair – students participate and compete in many categories from essay writing, food preparation and flower arranging, to showing small and large animals at this small agricultural fair.
Parent Participation
Assistance and support is welcomed in the classrooms, on field trips, library, extra-curricular activities, etc. School Advisory Council meets once a month, organizes many events to celebrate Literacy and Numeracy, plans fundraising opportunities, and is an excellent liaison between school and community.
