School Mission
To ensure optimal student development through effective education within a safe and supportive learning environment.

School History
Dunsford District Elementary School opened in January 1978. A sudden increase in student population necessitated an addition to the original building. The addition was completed in December of 1989.

General Information
Character Education is a priority for staff and students at Dunsford District ES. Monthly themes/traits are identified and serve as a focus for classrooms. Each month Character Education assemblies are organized to recognize students for their contributions and successes as they relate to the themes. The staff at Dunsford District ES are committed to improving student achievement. Assessment data from the classroom and the provincial EQAO results are used to highlight priorities for improvement.
