Is my child automatically insured in the event of an accident on school property?

Trillium Lakelands District School Board does not provide accident insurance coverage for student injuries that occur on school premises or during school activities. Some injuries incur medical, dental, or other expenses that are not covered by provincial health care or employer group plans.

What can I do to insure my child?

The Board makes available an Accident and Life Insurance program for students through Reliable Life Insurance Company. Participation is voluntary and costs are to be paid by the parent or guardian.
