Head Lice

What does Trillium Lakelands District School Board do to prevent outbreaks of head lice in the classroom?

Your child will be checked regularly for head lice while at school. While having head lice is not considered a health hazard, it is a nuisance and uncomfortable. The Board works hard to minimize the incidence of head lice, and we need your help. Head lice checks are run by parent volunteers.

Trillium Lakelands DSB has a Policy and Procedure regarding the management of pediculosis.

How can I help to prevent outbreaks of head lice?

You can help by volunteering at your child's school, and by conducting your own weekly head checks. For more information, review the Head Lice information brochure.
