When is the Haliburton-Muskoka Children's Water Festival each year?
The Children's Water Festival usually occurs during the third or fourth week of September each year.
What happens at the festival?
The Haliburton-Muskoka Children's Water Festival is an annual event held at Kinark Outdoor Education facility north of Minden, ON. It is geared to motivate students to become water stewards in their homes, classroom, and community. Through a series of 35 interactive activity centres, students in Grades 4 to 6 explore the concepts of water conservation, water attitudes, water technology, water protection, and water science.
The learning stations are designed to be hands-on, stimulating and fun, encouraging further understanding of water concepts taught through the school curriculum.
