On May 11, 2015, students from the Full-Day Kindergarten Class at Jack Callaghan PS had the opportunity to visit Camp Kawartha in Peterborough. Students had a great time taking part in their Tracking and Trailing program, and Nature Art program. This was the students second time visiting the camp this year.

Using the Outdoor Education Fun, students were able to try out the Wetland Wonders and Sensorama programs offered by the Camp. They really enjoyed using the nets to ‘dip, dip, scoop’ and find lots of wetland creatures. Their class favourite was all about the Water Strider. The class also learned how to use their senses in nature to create their very own perfume. Some of the students made flowery smelling scents, while others concocted more musky smells.

On both trips, JCPS had a blast learning about the outdoors while having a lot of fun at the same time. See the pics below!
