"This united day will motivate students to give back to their communities and get involved in their school, giving everyone a chance to be "better together," said student trustee, Robin Scott. “I believe this initiative will be a great success, and it is my hope that it will become an annual event organized by future Group of Seven representatives."
Better Together Day is intended to encourage students to get involved in their school and local community by demonstrating their appreciation for their neighbours with thank-you cards. Students will distribute thank-you cards to local residents, businesses, and other surrounding areas to thank them for their support throughout the school year. Students will also be encouraged to wear TLDSB colours, green and blue, to show their school spirit.
