Kindergarten students sing, dance, and play all day…but why? Oral learning is the most important tool used in a Kindergarten classroom, and there are many opportunities throughout the day for children to develop their oral language skills. Play based learning is an essential focus in Kindergarten - it allows students to interact with one another, question things, and solve problems together.
Oral language development is just as important outside of school. Parents should engage their children in conversation and ask them questions – the more we can do to help, the stronger our children will be at reading and writing.
