A group of amazing Huntsville High School musicians performed for local Intermediate students at their annual concert at the Algonquin Theatre. The ensembles of five vocalists backed up by a nine piece student/faculty band perform a variety of pop, rock and new country songs. Over the past five years this ensemble has opened for such artists as Jully Black, The Canadian Tenors and Hawksley Workman. They have performed at the G8 Youth Summit and played at various corporate and private events.

Performing songs by the Eagles, Amada Marshall and Fleetwood Mac to name a few, students show their range of vocal and instrumental talent. Teachers Greg Sutherland, Jordan Riley and Louise Tusz wanted to give their students a forum to explore contemporary music. The success of the program is evident in the professional performance and also by the number of Song Project alumni that return to perform at their concerts.
